Ah, so you finally succumbed! :)

We have the Venture Shield system on our 2008 GTR and will be putting it on the new one as well; it's good stuff.

I have the venture shield on my 08 model, and I would use it again for sure, especially anywhere Sue can hit with her boots! top of panniers etc etc

It can be tricky to fit but I found lots of very slightly soapy water (Fairy Liquid, but just a drop you do not need bubbles :) )
a rubber squezy pad, and for the really tricky bits a hairdryer, (use extra water if you intend to use the hairdryer) take your time keep working the bubbles out and all should be well, its just a nack !

Good luck with it and enjoy your new toy

Cheers

Hi
if you have issues with the venture shield kit then try P+H motorcycles Crawley W Sx , their tech who fits them is the mutts and has done three of my bikes incl my Gtr .
Have only fitted the pannier kit myself - Johnson baby bath is the liquid you want mixed with water .
Essentually you degrase the area and then apply liquid to it , lay film on top then apply liquid on outside of film . You then position it , lift one edge and then smooth down using alot of pressure from said edge moving inwards then outwards to the edges ( make sense ) to remove any bubbles and as much liquid as poss - wiping off the edges as you go . Dont worry about residual liquid underneath as it will disappear ( honest ) over the next 48 hrs depending on the temp . If you cock up you can pull it off and start again . The staff at Venture shield are top blokes and very very helpful if you ring them . The website also has directions as well . ;)
Thats £50 inc Vat as its you :D

Although it is not cheap I am really impressed with the bags connection system on my gtr and on the 2010 you do not need to make any "adjustments". It is not cheap but if you go to the kawasaki versys assessories website you can get the bag and the thing that attachs round the fuel cap for less than the equivalent bag at bags connection/sw motech.

It is so simple and easy to use that I find it worth the money and I can get a good amount of stuff in it for its 15 litre. It does not hide the sat nav either.

if I hook my tank bag onto the tanktop holder how do I attach the bottom part of the bag down. Ive currently got a bagster range bag which clips to my zzr tank cover. The top hooks go straight onto the gtr but nothing for the botom lugs
